Mersham Sports is the perfect club for cricketers young and old.

Whether you have a sporty child keen on trying something new or are an elder statesman with an arm that barely gets above the horizontal (and there are a few!), Mersham caters for all.

For more information on joining Mersham please contact Matt Fagg – 07814006576[email protected]

The men’s section has a lengthy history of Kent Village League success and the picturesque ground, lovingly prepared by legendary clubman Ian Fagg, is renowned as a beautiful place to play. For the younger members, there is a thriving and ever-expanding colts section that is the cornerstone of the club. Plenty of senior players have progressed through the ranks under the top-draw coaches, all of whom are dedicated volunteers.

To back up the development of the next generation of cricketers, Mersham have worked hard to be awarded the prestigious Clubmark award, given to those that meet strict ECB guidelines within youth development, and by being at the for front of cricket development within Ashford.

The club offer children from as young as four or five, whether they are boys or girls, the chance to get into cricket.

Our junior U11, U13 and U15 teams play hardball Cricket in the Ashford junior league. For younger players and beginners we offer All-Stars (5-8) and Dynamos (8-11) Cricket programmes starting in May each year. The programmes are perfect for 5 year + new to cricket with 8 fun packed sessions during the summer help to introduce children to the glorious game.

At first eleven level, Mersham compete in the Kent Regional League (Premiership) as well as the Kent Village League, with a side predominantly made up of young players stepping up from the colts system.

The second eleven counterparts also play in the Kent Regional League on Saturdays.

Our women’s 1st XI play in the Kent Premier Division 1 and our 2nd XI play in the Kent Women’s Development League. We also have a Women’s Softball Cricket team who train on Fridays at MSG in the summer.
